Pet Projects! 4 Free Pet Costume Patterns!

Have you heard that Howloween is coming? I just found out that animalfair.com is hosting a costume pet party and contest to benefit the Humane Society of New York. That of course led me to wonder what my lovely puppy should go as for Howloween. Here are four free tutorials to help you create the perfect dog costume this year.

Looking to go retro? Send your pooch out as a Chia Pet with the help of the Flirty Blog. Everyone will be singing the "Cha-Cha-Cha-Chia" song when you step out with this growing garment.

Karen from the Doggie Stylish blog was clearly feeling corny when she came up with her corndog costume. Trick-or-treat this year fueled by puns and reap the rewards. This hilarious costume is sure to fit right in at a harvest fair.

For a more classic approach to Howloween, why not dress up your dog as a pumpkin? The dog clothes patterns website has a variety of costume ideas, but this pumpkin is a real charmer.

If your dog is too sweet, maybe she should go as a cupcake. Visit the Sew Doggy Style blog to learn how to make a quick little coat and transform your friend into a sweet treat.

I started a dog costume line

I started a dog costume line about a year ago and have been selling them at 2 local shops.  October last year I opened an Etsy shop where I have about 20 costumes that I hve created.  What surprises me is people buy these year round and dress their dogs up for every occasion.  I just made 2 matching clown costumes boy and girl and then one for the Birthday Girl who's going to be 1.  It's for a Circus Themed Birthday party.  I'd post pictures but don't see how to post any.  My etsy store is - dogdesignsbydiana.  If you have any questions concerning dog costumes contact me.
