Who can help with sloper?
I have a lot of trouble altering patterns. My right leg is shorter than my left, nerve damage in my right shoulder makes it hang out of place a bit, and I am very long-waisted and very flat chested, so I have a dickens of a time getting clothes to fit. I really need a good sloper, but there is no one to help me make one. I contacted three professionals to see what they would charge to do this, and all turned me down flat, no reason given, just "we do not do that kind of work."
Does anybody out there have a clue what the story is here? Was my suggestion insulting or inappropriate? Who would do this kind of work? Thanks for your input.

Not insulting at all. I've found many people no longer draft patterns as much as they used to. If you live near a design school they may have students who could help. Or you can get on to a professional Sewing Referral Network and look for someone who can do it. Also go online and check with the Sewing Guild of America and other professional sewing groups, they are sure to find someone who can help out. Hope this helps.
